Job Description

As a Tour Guide with Adventure Tours SA, you will lead visitors through Cape Town and its stunning surroundings, showcasing local culture, history, and natural beauty. This role requires a passion for storytelling and a love for adventure, ensuring our guests have an enriching experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups through various attractions, showcasing Cape Town's highlights.
• Provide local insights and answer guests' questions throughout the tour.
• Ensure all tours run on schedule and manage time effectively.
• Develop strong relationships with guests to enhance their experience.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to improve guiding skills.
• Collect and report guest feedback to improve services.
• Assist in marketing initiatives by sharing experiences and highlights from tours.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Tourism or Hospitality is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in tourism or related fields

Technical Skills

• Cultural awareness
• Tour planning and coordination

• Enthusiasm and energy
• Interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Advanced Tour Guide Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Cape Town's culinary scene: Ability to recommend local eateries and food experiences.
• Certifications in hospitality or tourism management: Additional qualifications in related fields are a plus.
