We are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our passionate team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive medical examinations, diagnosing health issues, and providing effective treatment plans for our animal patients. An emphasis on preventive care and client education is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform health assessments and maintain detailed medical records.
• Provide surgical and medical care for a variety of animals.
• Deliver exceptional client education and support regarding pet health.
• Monitor animal recovery and administer post-operative care.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver optimal patient care.
• Advise pet owners on nutrition, behavior, and preventive health.
• Engage in mentoring junior staff and interns.
• Participate in health programs and wellness initiatives.
• Assess new techniques and technologies for animal care.
• Collaborate with local shelters for community health initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
• Registered with the South African Veterinary Council

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a veterinary practice
