Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be adept at both residential and commercial projects, demonstrating an eye for detail and a passion for innovative design. You will be involved in all phases of design, from concept to execution, working closely with clients to ensure their visions are brought to life.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings and specifications for construction projects.
• Review and approve work completed by contractors on-site.
• Engage in cost estimation and project scheduling.
• Research sustainable materials and practices for environmentally friendly design.
• Participate in community consultations for public projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications in Urban Design preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in architecture

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• 3D Modelling
• Building Regulations Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Urban Design Experience: Background in urban design would be a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with Green Building Standards: Knowledge of LEED and similar sustainability certifications.
