We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Intellectual Property Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. This role involves advising clients on various aspects of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. You will play a crucial role in protecting the intellectual assets of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships to understand their IP needs.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff in IP law practices.
• Participate in IP-related seminars and workshops to enhance professional knowledge.
• Support marketing efforts by providing insights on IP strategies.
• Contribute to the development of internal policies related to IP management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law
• Master of Laws (LLM) with a focus on Intellectual Property is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IP law practice

Technical Skills

• Trademark Law
• Patent Law

• Problem-Solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• Fellow of the Intellectual Property Law Association
• Certified Legal Manager (CLM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
