Job Description

We are looking for a skilled General Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Grahamstown. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong background in diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions. As a General Practitioner, you will be responsible for performing medical examinations, providing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will work closely with our nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests.
• Deliver patient-centered care with compassion and professionalism.
• Advise patients on health-related lifestyle changes.
• Lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing quality care.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards in healthcare.
• Assess patient feedback and implement improvements in care delivery.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB and completion of an internship
• Additional qualifications in family medicine is preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in family medicine

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
