Responsibilities

• Perform consultations and physical examinations on various animal species.
• Carry out surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and soft tissue surgeries.
• Administer vaccinations and preventative medications as required.
• Maintain detailed veterinary records and manage client communications.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development.
• Provide support to clients during emergencies or difficult decisions regarding their pets.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science or related degree
• Specialisation in a specific veterinary field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in veterinary practices.

Technical Skills

• Anesthesia knowledge
• Radiology experience

Soft Skills

• Time management
• Team leadership

Certifications

• Canine and Feline Practice Certification
• Certified in Veterinary Acupuncture

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
