Site Planner

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Site Planner to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will oversee project planning and ensure that all construction operations proceed efficiently. You will work closely with project managers and field teams to align project timelines and resources.

Responsibilities

• Draft and update project timelines and milestones.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress.
• Review and resolve any project-related issues.
• Assist in developing project management strategies.
• Provide guidance to junior planning staff and interns.
• Maintain communication with regulatory bodies as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in site planning and management

Technical Skills

• Construction Regulations
• Risk Management

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Green Building: Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green certifications.
• Familiarity with Local Regulations: Strong understanding of local zoning and building codes.
