Job Description

As a Construction Project Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving successful construction projects in Johannesburg. This role requires strong leadership skills and a great understanding of engineering principles related to construction.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the work of construction crews to meet project deadlines.
• Evaluate the performance of contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure effective communication between project management and field staff.
• Review plans, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
• Assist in the development of project scopes and schedules.
• Mitigate construction-related issues swiftly to avoid delays.
• Review and approve work produced by contractors and sub-contractors.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer registration is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant construction experience
