Machine Feeders and Offbearers

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Feeder and Offbearer to assist in our pole-peeling operations. The role involves supporting the machine operator in production tasks and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support machine operators by preparing materials for processing.
• Monitor machine operations and report any issues to supervisors.
• Adhere to production schedules to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Assist in quality control checks of wood products.
• Help maintain inventory of materials necessary for production.
• Foster teamwork by collaborating with fellow staff members.
• Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
• Assist in training new staff members on equipment use.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience

• Preference will be given to candidates with some experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Ability to operate a forklift
• Familiarity with basic hand tools

Soft Skills

• Physical stamina

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with wood or timber products: Familiarity with wood processing enhances candidacy.
• Knowledge of safety procedures: Understanding of health and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
