Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Pietermaritzburg. You will be responsible for performing surgeries, conducting health assessments, and providing preventative care to animals. Ideal candidates should have excellent communication skills and a love for pets.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat ailments in animals through examinations and tests.
  • Perform routine and emergency surgeries with precision.
  • Provide guidance and support to pet owners regarding animal care.
  • Ensure that all veterinary practices comply with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff.
  • Engage in community education about pet health and welfare.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment in the practice.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary practice
