Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychologist to join our healthcare team in Cape Town. You will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients experiencing various mental health challenges. Responsibilities

• Assess client needs through interviews and psychological evaluations.
• Offer support to clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Implement therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or mindfulness.
• Document client progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families.

Requirements

Education

• PhD in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
• HPCSA registration is mandatory

Experience

• 5+ years of direct clinical experience

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Crisis Intervention

Soft Skills

• Active Listening
• Teamwork

Certifications

• HPCSA Registered Clinical Psychologist
• Mental Health First Aid

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Specialization in trauma: Specializing in trauma-informed care is a strong asset.
• Experience with teletherapy: Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and online counseling is a plus.
