We are seeking a compassionate Mental Health Counsellor to join our team at the Community Wellness Centre in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counselling, assisting individuals in navigating their emotional and psychological challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultations with pet owners to discuss animal health.
• Provide medical and surgical care to a variety of animals.
• Collaborate with specialists for advanced cases.
• Develop preventive healthcare plans for pets.
• Assist in training veterinary technicians and interns.
• Contribute to community outreach programs regarding animal care.
• Participate in the clinic's budget and inventory management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Postgraduate qualifications in a related field are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in clinical veterinary practice

Technical Skills

• Veterinary diagnostics
• Anaesthesia management

Certifications

• English: Fluent
