Tax Specialist

Job Description

Join our innovative team as a Tax Specialist in Cape Town where you will handle tax compliance issues, provide guidance on tax planning, and work directly with clients to improve their tax positions. An essential part of this role is to stay up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review client tax filings to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Advise clients on the tax implications of various business decisions.
• Conduct tax research on complex issues and provide guidance to senior management.
• Engage with IRS and related authorities on behalf of clients for tax matters.
• Develop tax compliance procedures and policies to enhance efficiencies.
• Prepare internal tax reports and statements for management review.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Postgraduate degree in Taxation is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in tax consulting or similar role

• Financial Analysis

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification

Languages

• English: Fluent
