Job Description

As a Ship Erector, you will be crucial in constructing and assembling key components of vessels including hulls, decks, and superstructures. Working in a team of skilled professionals, this role demands precision and attention to detail to ensure every ship exceeds specifications and is completed on time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to safety and quality control procedures.
• Train and mentor junior shipbuilding staff as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers and fitters to optimize assembly processes.
• Document work performed and any discrepancies or issues encountered.
• Participate in team meetings to review project progress and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Trade school diploma in shipbuilding or welding
• Relevant certifications in shipbuilding

Experience

• Experience supervising or managing teams is advantageous.
