Job Description

As a Roll Turner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and turning rollers essential for the printing and manufacturing industry. You'll collaborate with the production team to ensure that all rollers meet the stringent specifications required for quality production.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to turn, grind, and finish rollers to precise specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Inspect finished products for adherence to quality standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist with training new employees on machinery operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Document any discrepancies and mechanical failures in production reports.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Technical or vocational training in roll turning or a related field

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in roll turning or a related manufacturing field.

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with different types of rollers (rubber, steel, ceramic): Familiarity with the specific handling and maintenance of various roller materials.
