Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will manage payroll processes, ensure compliance with local labor laws, and maintain accurate employee records. You will be responsible for processing payroll and resolving any discrepancies, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll using digital payroll systems, ensuring accuracy.
  • Collaborate with external payroll service providers where applicable.
  • Prepare and distribute pay slips and annual tax documents to employees.
  • Monitor financial discrepancies and irregularities in payroll entries.
  • Oversee statutory obligations related to employee compensation.
  • Assist in developing and recommending changes to payroll policies.
  • Provide training to new hires regarding payroll processes.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to align payroll entries with financial statements.
  • Implement changes in payroll systems as required by changing legislation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Additional certification in HR or Finance is a plus
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in payroll processing, HR, or accounting.
