Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Fishing Gear Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and modifying various fishing equipment and machinery, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance checks on all fishing equipment.
• Fix and maintain fishing gear, ensuring it is operational.
• Implement safety checks to ensure gear compliance with industry standards.
• Quickly identify and troubleshoot any mechanical failures.
• Support the installation of new fishing equipment as needed.
• Maintain records of all maintenance procedures undertaken.
• Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts and materials.
• Mentor and guide junior technicians and crew in equipment handling.
• Consistently follow safety protocols in all operations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical qualification in mechanical repair is a plus

Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical repair for fishing equipment.
