Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret prescriptions ensuring accuracy and legality.
  • Assess medication compatibility and prepare compounded medications as needed.
  • Advise on the selection of over-the-counter products.
  • Assist in resolving patients' medication-related problems.
  • Coordinate with healthcare teams for optimal patient care.
  • Document patient interactions regarding medications and therapy adjustments.
  • Participate in staff meetings and educational sessions.
  • Implement safety protocols to minimize errors in medication dispensing.
  • Foster a welcoming and informative environment for patients.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
  • Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred
