Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our Port Elizabeth team. The successful candidate will provide expert tax advice, assist clients with tax planning, and ensure compliance with local tax laws. Your role will involve analyzing clients' financial situations, preparing tax returns, and advising on tax-efficient strategies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients' financial situations and provide tailored tax solutions.
• Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and timely.
• Advise on local and international tax matters, as applicable.
• Keep updated on changes to tax legislation and inform clients accordingly.
• Resolve tax disputes with SARS and provide guidance during audits.
• Collaborate with financial planning professionals to develop comprehensive strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax advisory roles

• Tax Compliance

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)
• Master's in Taxation is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with tax planning software: Familiarity with various tax planning and compliance software applications.
