We are seeking a skilled SOC Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in Cape Town. In this role, you will monitor security incidents, analyze data, and respond to threats in real-time. Responsibilities

• Lead reliability initiatives to ensure uptime and availability.
• Create disaster recovery and back-up strategies for critical systems.
• Mentor junior engineers in SRE best practices.
• Standardize operational processes to improve service consistency.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
• Implement monitoring systems for alerts on performance metrics.
• Review and improve the security posture of systems.
• Analyze system change impacts to lessen operational risk.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies that enhance reliability.
• Facilitate training sessions for teams on reliability improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
• A Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in a DevOps or Site Reliability position
