Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality care for companion animals and ensuring their well-being. You will perform surgeries, conduct examinations, and provide treatment plans, all while delivering exceptional customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct both routine and complex surgeries on companion animals.
  • Utilize diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests to analyze health issues.
  • Work with owners to devise ongoing care and dietary plans.
  • Maintain high standards of sanitary and operational practices within the clinic.
  • Educate staff on best practices in veterinary care.
  • Stay informed about advancements in veterinary medicine and technology.
  • Assist in training new staff members and interns.
  • Engage with community initiatives to raise awareness about animal welfare.

Requirements

Education
  • BVSc or equivalent veterinary degree
  • Specialisation in Surgery or Internal Medicine preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical setting
