Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory management processes in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and a strategic mindset, facilitating seamless operations within our supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement inventory control systems to enhance accuracy.
• Lead initiatives to improve warehouse layout for better efficiency.
• Manage the inventory database, ensuring information is up-to-date and accurate.
• Coordinate with IT to troubleshoot any software issues.
• Ensure team compliance with all company policies.
• Identify training needs for the inventory team and develop training plans.
• Manage inventory discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business Management
• Professional certifications in supply chain management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in inventory or warehouse management

• Warehouse Management Systems

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

• Knowledge of Inventory Valuation Methods: Strong understanding of methods like FIFO, LIFO, and specific identification.
