First-Line Supervisor of Correctional Officers

Job Description

As a First-Line Supervisor of Correctional Officers, you will oversee juvenile probation programs, manage a team of probation officers, and implement initiatives aimed at rehabilitating and reintegrating youth into society. Your leadership and guidance are crucial in fostering a supportive environment for at-risk youth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of probation officers, ensuring consistent application of protocols
• Analyze data related to juvenile recidivism and use findings to inform program development
• Provide training sessions for officers on effective intervention strategies
• Engage with families and guardians to establish support systems that promote rehabilitation
• Review and evaluate the performance of probation programs and make improvements as necessary

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is preferred

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in juvenile justice supervision or related field
