Job Description

We are seeking an AI Research Scientist to spearhead our AI research efforts in Stellenbosch. You will use your expertise in machine learning to create data-driven models and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. A solid understanding of AI frameworks and a passion for technology are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Explore and experiment with novel machine learning techniques.
• Collaborate with software engineers on AI model deployment.
• Communicate complex ideas related to AI concepts effectively.
• Develop training materials to assist in the education of staff on AI topics.
• Analyze competitive AI technologies and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to the creation of a collaborative AI research culture within the organization.
• Work with external researchers to enhance project outcomes.
• Participate in conferences and workshops relevant to AI advancements.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence or related discipline
• PhD in Machine Learning preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in AI research or machine learning applications

Technical Skills

• R Programming

Certifications

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
