Job Description

As a Clinical Psychologist at Mental Wellness Group, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and treating clients struggling with mental health issues. You will work in a supportive environment where interdisciplinary collaboration is encouraged and valued.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ psychological needs through interviews and standardized assessments.
• Provide psychotherapy to individuals with diverse mental health challenges.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.
• Stay updated with relevant mental health research and integrated healthcare practices.
• Prepare and present case reports as required.
• Contribute to the development of mental health resources and tools.
• Participate in supervision sessions to enhance practice knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Psychology (Clinical Psychology)
• Further specialization or training in psychotherapy is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of clinical experience preferred

• Psychometric Testing

• Analytical Skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Training in mindfulness-based therapies: Experience with mindfulness practices to support client coping strategies.
• Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Sesotho): Ability to communicate in multiple languages to better serve diverse client populations.
