Job Description

The Bookmobile Driver will be responsible for operating a bookmobile vehicle, delivering library materials to various locations and promoting reading and literacy programs within communities. This role is crucial in making literature accessible and engaging with community members of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bookmobile.
• Assist in the development of promotional materials for literacy programs.
• Work collaboratively with local schools to schedule bookmobile visits.
• Adapt programming and materials based on community needs and feedback.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in library science and community engagement.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in customer service or a similar role is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• GPS Navigation
• Inventory Management

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
