Job Description

As an Architect (Design) at our Cape Town firm, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the built environment. Your expertise will contribute to the design of large-scale projects while collaborating with clients, engineers, and urban planners to create futuristic architectural designs. You will be expected to turn conceptual sketches into detailed working plans, balancing functionality with eye-catching aesthetics in a collaborative workspace.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee various architectural projects from inception to completion.
• Utilise software tools like AutoCAD and SketchUp to create project designs.
• Assist in creating proposals and budgets for upcoming projects.
• Research and advise on sustainable building practices and technologies.
• Mentor junior architects and interns, providing guidance throughout their development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Project Management certification is a plus

Experience

• At least 5 years in architectural design, including project management experience

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with site planning and landscaping: Experience in working with landscape architects and urban planners.
• Professional registration as an Architect: Registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).
