Job Description

As a Leather Grader at High-Quality Leather Co., you will be responsible for evaluating and grading leather hides based on quality and texture standards. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that all products meet safety and quality regulations, enhancing our reputation as a top leather manufacturer.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming and outgoing leather goods to ensure quality compliance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material quality requirements are met.
  • Provide feedback on grading processes to improve overall efficiency.
  • Oversee the grading and testing of leather samples.
  • Assist in the development of new grading criteria and standards.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment used for grading.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss quality assurance metrics.
  • Report any issues related to leather quality to the management.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric Certificate
  • Higher Certificate in Leather Technology is preferred
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in a leather grading role or quality assurance

  • Microsoft Office Suite
