Responsibilities

• Lead structural design projects, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.
• Conduct research and use innovative design techniques.
• Prepare cost estimates and project proposals.
• Interact with regulatory agencies to facilitate approvals.
• Monitor budgets and track expenses to align with project costs.
• Develop presentations for client meetings and project updates.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in structural engineering.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering (preferred)

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling): Experience in navigating BIM software for structural projects.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations: Familiarity with Eastern Cape building codes and compliance.
