Civil Engineer

Job Description

As a Civil Engineer in Port Elizabeth, you will be at the forefront of exciting projects that enhance our urban infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and overseeing the construction of various civil engineering works. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and government authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and execution of various civil infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and architects to develop project proposals.
• Inspect construction sites for progress and compliance with plans.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects.
• Document project phases and produce necessary reports.
• Facilitate communication between contractors and project stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve engineering problems during construction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering or construction management

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng)
• LEED Green Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM Software: Familiarity with Building Information Modeling tools for efficient project management.
