Join our team as a Structural Engineer in Port Elizabeth. You will play a crucial role in developing safe and efficient structures for various projects, focusing on ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design structural frameworks suitable for various constructions.
• Assess load-bearing capacities and structural supports.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineering specialists.
• Conduct inspections during the construction process.
• Prepare and present engineering reports and assessments.
• Manage client communications and expectations.
• Oversee project scheduling and resource allocation.
• Implement sustainable and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Review and refine engineering plans as necessary.
• Train and guide less experienced engineers.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field is a plus
• ECSA registration is mandatory

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering roles.

• Structural Design Software

Advantageous

• Experience in CAD management: Experience managing CAD standards and workflows.
