Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Tax Consultant to join our dedicated team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations, compliance and the ability to advise clients effectively. This role involves preparing tax returns, providing tax planning strategies and ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and corporations.
• Provide expert advice on tax planning and compliance.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax strategies.
• Represent clients during audits and communicate with tax authorities.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Assist clients in tax dispute resolution and appeal processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Master's degree in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in tax strategies and compliance

Technical Skills

• Tax Legislation Expertise
• Financial Modelling

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Forex Regulations: Understanding of regulations affecting foreign exchange transactions.
• Experience with Tax Software Solutions: Familiarity with popular tax software and tools.
