Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, project management skills, and a passion for infrastructure development. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing construction projects to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs for land and civil works.
• Monitor and report on project progress and milestones.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance project outcomes.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Research and implement new engineering technologies.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure project goals align with community needs.
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and authorities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Other relevant qualifications welcomed

Experience

• 5+ years of civil engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Environmental Compliance

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Registered Engineering Technologist (RET)
• ISO 9001 Certification for Quality Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations: In-depth knowledge of building codes specific to South Africa is advantageous.
