Job Description

The Apparatus Lineman will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical power lines and associated equipment. This role requires the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, ensuring that power delivery to communities is handled safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for electrical installation projects.
• Assist in the development of safety procedures and training materials.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of tools and equipment needed for tasks.
• Engage in community outreach to promote safety and responsible use of power.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent certificate
• Technical diploma in Electrical Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the electrical field.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of electrical distribution networks
• Health and safety regulations

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Adaptability

Certifications

• First Aid and Fire Fighter training

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of telecommunication systems: Understanding and experience in maintaining telecommunication power systems.
• Experience in project management: Background in managing projects and leading teams for electrical installations.
