Responsibilities

  • Conduct various surgical procedures including spays, neuters, and orthopedic surgeries.
  • Diagnose and treat a range of medical conditions affecting animals.
  • Provide preventive care and wellness check-ups for pets.
  • Consult with pet owners to discuss animal health and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of veterinary professionals and support staff.
  • Stay informed about advances in veterinary medicine and integrate new techniques into practice.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote animal health and welfare.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent degree
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary practice, with surgical experience preferred.
