Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter at Leading Insurance Firm, you will play a crucial role in evaluating risks and determining policy terms. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of the insurance market. You’ll be responsible for assessing applications, conducting detailed risk assessments, and providing recommendations on coverage and premiums.

• Assess commercial and personal insurance risks to provide coverage solutions.
• Utilize risk management tools and data analysis to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with actuarial teams to refine risk models and pricing strategies.
• Evaluate and adjust underwriting guidelines based on market conditions.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain policy decisions and terms.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance
• Additional underwriting certifications are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in underwriting or related insurance roles

• Fellow of the Insurance Institute (FII)
