Miner Helper

Job Description

We are seeking a hardworking and dedicated Miner Helper to join our mining team. The Miner Helper will assist miners with various tasks related to mining operations. This position requires physical strength and the ability to work in challenging conditions, both underground and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Help miners in their daily operations on-site.
• Maintain tools and equipment used in mining operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times.
• Support drilling and blasting operations as needed.
• Assist in the setup of ventilation and support systems in the mine.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Aid in risk assessments and safety inspections.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the mining team.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Ensure that the work area is clear and safe for all team members.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification

Experience

• Prior experience working in the mining industry is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of safety regulations
• Basic mechanical skills

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating heavy machinery: Hands-on experience with tools like bulldozers or excavators.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in mining: Understanding of legal and safety measures in mining practices.
