Job Description

We are on the lookout for a proactive IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT systems, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver outstanding technical support to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service through IT support.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues timely.
  • Setup and maintain user workstations and mobile devices.
  • Manage system and application updates.
  • Assist in developing IT support training materials.
  • Respond to service desk tickets in a timely manner.
  • Participate in IT improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and maintenance.
  • Assist in data recovery procedures when required.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of emerging technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
  • Relevant IT certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+)
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT support roles

  • Linux operating systems
  • Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)
