Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Actuarial Analyst to support our Johannesburg office. You will analyze data and help develop financial strategies for risk management. The right candidate will have a strong mathematical background and be eager to tackle challenges as part of a talented team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing risk management strategies informed by actuarial analysis.
  • Review and validate actuarial reports prepared by other analysts.
  • Participate in client meetings to explain actuarial implications of proposals.
  • Analyze trends in market data to inform actuarial assumptions and models.
  • Monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
  • Support project management initiatives related to actuarial services.
  • Contribute to internal training programs for team members.
  • Liaise with external auditors for project reviews and compliance checks.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent
  • Advanced actuarial qualifications are preferred
Experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in actuarial analysis or related field

Certifications
  • Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA), a plus.
