Job Description

The Tie Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and assessing the quality of ties used in railway construction and maintenance. The role requires a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of railway ties for quality assurance.
  • Compile inspection reports to be submitted to management.
  • Engage in continuous learning of industry standards and regulations.
  • Staying updated on safety protocols and reporting any potential hazards.
  • Support the Quality Control Manager with compliance audits.
  • Aid in troubleshooting production issues related to tie quality.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve quality objectives.

Requirements

Education
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Technical qualification in railway construction or maintenance
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in railway inspection or related fields.
