Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structural projects. You will collaborate with architects and other engineers to ensure project specifications are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Analyze and troubleshoot engineering issues as they arise.
• Provide technical expertise and support for construction teams.
• Create and maintain project documentation and records.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to determine project requirements.
• Ensure safety standards are upheld throughout all project phases.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Revit
• Finite Element Analysis

• Analytical Skills
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in seismic design: Knowledge in designing structures to withstand seismic forces.
• Proficient in 3D modeling software: Familiarity with software such as SketchUp or 3ds Max.
