Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gqeberha. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and products. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test prototypes of mechanical systems.
• Work with CAD software to design and modify mechanical parts.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Assist in conducting field trials and data analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to source materials.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate and revise existing engineering processes for efficiency.
• Provide recommendations for product enhancements.
• Ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss project goals and requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Gauteng-based certifications are advantageous.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a related position

• CATIA
• Finite Element Analysis

Certifications

• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
