Emergency Department Technician

Job Description

As an Emergency Department Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting emergency medical teams. Your hands-on experience will be essential in providing vital assistance during critical patient care situations.

Responsibilities

• Implement emergency protocols and assist in high-pressure medical situations.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Assist in the preparation and stocking of medical supplies in the emergency department.
• Provide first response care when required.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification preferred

Experience

• Experience in an emergency department or trauma centre is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Patient Care Techniques
• Familiarity with Medical Equipment

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Decision Making

Certifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS): Certification in trauma care is a plus.
