Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and support various legal processes. Responsibilities

• Offer advice on a range of legal issues, ensuring compliance with local laws.
• Review and draft corporate policies and procedures.
• Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory bodies.
• Assist in resolving disputes through mediation or litigation.
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes affecting the industry.
• Train staff on legal compliance and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification
• Admitted attorney in South Africa

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in legal counsel or corporate law.

Certifications

• Certificate in Compliance Management
• Master’s in Law (LLM) is an advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent
