Job Description

We are seeking committed Correctional Officers to supervise inmates and maintain a secure environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety of facility operations while implementing rehabilitation programs to assist inmates in reintegration.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of inmates, staff, and the facility.
  • Monitor inmate behavior and enforce facility rules.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and prepare reports.
  • Lead training sessions for staff regarding safety and compliance.
  • Manage inmate grievances and resolve conflicts.
  • Assist in program development for inmate rehabilitation.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement for external communications.
  • Utilize technology to enhance security measures.
  • Engage with inmates and facilitate rehabilitative activities.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric Certificate
  • Advanced training in Correctional Services is advantageous
Experience
  • Experience in managing specialized populations like juvenile or female inmates is a plus.
