Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Consultant to join our talented team in Pretoria. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, advising clients on tax planning strategies, and ensuring compliance with South African tax laws. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in taxation with excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial documents to determine tax implications.
• Prepare detailed reports on tax considerations for clients.
• Develop relationships with clients to enhance tax services.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize clients' overall financial strategies.
• Evaluate and implement tax compliance software and processes.
• Ensure timely payments of taxes and manage deadlines.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field
• Master's degree in Taxation will be advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a tax role

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is a plus
