Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pietermaritzburg. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles and experience with CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative mechanical systems and components.
• Evaluate and improve the performance of existing products.
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met.
• Create technical documentation for proposed designs.
• Conduct testing and validate designs through simulations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement solutions.
• Support manufacturing processes by providing engineering assistance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and development

• AutoCAD
• SolidWorks
• MATLAB

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (PrEng)

Languages

• English: Fluent
