Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will design and implement mechanical systems and components, ensuring high performance and quality. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects forward from conception to execution, using your technical expertise to solve engineering challenges and fulfill client needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from conception through to implementation.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns on best practices.
• Ensure compliance with local and industry regulations.
• Research and develop new technologies to improve product performance.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering

• SolidWorks
• MATLAB
• Gantt Charts

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng)
• Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Proficiency in using FEA for complex engineering simulations.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems: Understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
