Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Urban Planner to join our Pretoria team. The ideal candidate will have experience in urban design, policy development, and community engagement, playing a crucial role in planning sustainable urban areas.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze urban demographic trends to inform planning decisions.
• Assist in creating long-term strategic urban plans addressing housing, infrastructure, and sustainability.
• Work closely with architects and engineers to translate concepts into actionable plans.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss urban planning issues with stakeholders.
• Develop urban planning guidelines that promote smart growth and environmental sustainability.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies or Environmental Planning
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in municipal or regional planning

• Urban Policy Development

Certifications

• Certified Planner (CP)
• Sustainable Development Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
