Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our vibrant team in Durban. In this role, you will oversee the dispensing of medications, provide patient consultations, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of medication therapies.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications and pharmacy practices.
• Assist patients in accessing necessary healthcare resources.
• Conduct medication therapy management and medication reconciliations.
• Advise on the selection and use of over-the-counter medications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in pharmacy practice

• Medication Management
• Patient Counseling

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist with SAPC
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
